Finder Towbody

The CoTs Finder Towbody is a flexible, high-performance towed system used to deploy today’s most advanced sonars and sensors.  The Finder Towbody system leverages the CoTs state-of-the-art control system allowing customers to operate their sonar and sensors with accuracy in sea states thought not possible.   

Finder Towbody provides closed loop control of tow system yaw, pitch, roll, yaw rate, pitch rate, roll rate, depth, and altitude. It maintains the sonar at optimal altitude without operator intervention and delivers the unparalleled steadiness required for very high-resolution Synthetic Aperture Sonar (SAS) or Side Scan imaging. 

With the same core electronics and tail cone hardware, upgrades to Finder Towbody can further increase performance and mission capability.  Finder Towbody has a diameter of 12.75” with a length of 13feet.  The system has a weight in air of 700lbs.
